I am a publishing entrepreneur with more than 30 years’ experience in media and luxury publishing. In 2022, I co-founded YourLuxury Africa; an independent, woman-founded, multi-platform luxury media business which has been built from the ground up.
YourLuxury Africa is today South Africa’s leading audited monthly luxury lifestyle title, supported by a growing digital, social media, content and events business. We cover the full spectrum of contemporary luxury, from fashion, watches and jewellery, motoring and travel to art, design, beauty, gastronomy and wealth, combining compelling African storytelling with the best of global luxury.
We work with many of the world’s leading luxury brands while providing a platform for significant African creative voices. Our audience extends beyond South Africa, with an initial presence established in Kenya and Namibia and further Pan-African expansion underway.
At its heart, YourLuxury Africa is about building a world-class luxury media business from Africa, for African and global audiences.
I believe my nomination recognises the courage and audacity to become an entrepreneur at a later stage in my career, building an independent, award-winning luxury media business from the ground up.
My vision is to continue building YourLuxury Africa into a leading Pan-African media business with global relevance, expanding into key African markets while remaining proudly founded and headquartered in South Africa. I want to demonstrate that world-class, commercially successful media businesses can be built from this continent, creating opportunities for African talent while connecting our audiences to the best of Africa and the world. Personally I want to continue growing as an entrepreneur, proving that ambition and reinvention have no age limit, and to use what I have built to create opportunities for the next generation.
