I’m Tiffany Markman, an award-winning international copywriter, trainer and professional speaker. For two decades I’ve run Tiffany Markman Writing, Training & Speaking, a business dedicated to transforming how professionals, teams and organisations communicate.

My work ranges from shaping brand voice for global companies to teaching best-practice writing that helps professionals to persuade, engage and connect.

I’ve also built a global reputation as a keynote speaker, delivering talks that challenge assumptions about communication, digital media, technology and professional confidence.

I believe I was nominated for a Jewish Achiever Award because of a) the impact and longevity of my business and b) the contribution I’ve made to helping others to communicate with clarity and confidence. My career has been built on enabling people to express themselves more effectively, whether that’s through copy that reaches new markets, training that empowers teams, or talks that open up original ways of thinking.

I share generously with my professional community: mentoring writers and freelance creatives, supporting entrepreneurs and guiding fellow speakers. In a broader sense, I like to think that I have taken a solitary discipline – writing – and built a platform of teaching and connection that’s helped thousands of individuals and businesses to thrive.

Winning this prestigious award would acknowledge my achievements but, perhaps more importantly, showcase the very real power of communication to create lasting impact.

My vision: For myself, I intend to keep expanding the reach of my work – through speaking, training and writing – so more people in more places experience the opportunities that come from clear, powerful communication. I also plan to continue to challenge myself creatively.

For my business, my vision is growth through impact. I want Tiffany Markman Writing, Training & Speaking to become more widely known for entrenching communication excellence: helping organisations find their voice, empowering teams to write with precision and using AI responsibly to enhance human expression. My current focus is the creation of tools, frameworks and programmes that scale beyond me.

For South Africa, I envision a country where communication is an enabler of progress. Misunderstanding, misperception and poor writing keep people out of jobs, block collaboration and waste resources. I want to see South Africans (from students to senior managers) equipped with the skills to articulate their ideas and tell their stories.

Not-so-secretly, I also dream of seeing more South African voices represented on global stages, to show the world the richness, wit and resilience of our nation’s expression.
