I became an apprentice plumber in 1989 after the army and it was hard, physical and even dirty work at times. It helped build character and responsibility. I was taught to make my own decisions and how to run and manage staff and projects very early and then became a partner and director in the business.
By default I got into the marketing and sales of the company , but designing and dealing with large scale plumbing projects ,sales and growth of the company is where my focus is.
We have built up the business to be one of the largest maintenance companies in Gauteng with over 100 staff and a fleet of vehicles specializing in all aspects of plumbing in the corporate, industrial and residential sectors operating 24/7 – 365, offering all standard and specialised plumbing services.
We continually look for new technologies and product offerings for our clients.
I believe the nomination came because I know that I instill positivity and look for the good in everyone and that spills over into my work ethic, clients, friends and people that I associate with every day.
People appreciate acknowledgement and praise for them to be uplifted, and I know that’s what I do, I am a person that people can rely on and go to whether in my personal life or in the work environment, and seeing people acknowledge this gives me a sense of achievement that I am helping them.
Vision: For me personally I have grown in my observance and learning and continual growth in all aspects of my life and imparting this knowledge can only be an asset. With this been said its important to instill continual growth and upliftment for myself, my family, and the staff in our business. By watching them rise to new levels in their own way and then in turn for the country.
What we can instill with our families and staff with our value system, can then be taken home to be shared further therefore contributing further to a better South Africa for all.
