I’m passionate about using my Scientific mind as my tool to care for people. Ive built a business that earns small profits per customer but has thousands of customers, each of whom we help live longer and better.

I am a family physician with a passion for evidence-based, accessible and preventative healthcare. I lead a network of primary care doctors and practices focused on providing patients with personal, high-quality medical care. I have a particular interest in diabetes and preventative medicine, supported by a postgraduate qualification from Cardiff University.
I am grateful to run a service-driven paperless practice that provides excellence in so many fields of primary healthcare to so many Jewish and non-Jewish people.

I am also passionate about medical education and public health, sharing medical knowledge through webinars, articles, radio and song. Ultimately, I aim to help people live longer, healthier and better lives.

I believe I was nominated because, throughout my career, I have tried to make excellent medicine feel personal, accessible, and genuinely caring.

I have built a network of primary care practices around the belief that patients deserve both outstanding medical knowledge and doctors who are available, approachable and prepared to go the extra mile. The feedback from our patients consistently speaks about being cared for, listened to and supported, as much as it does about the quality of the medical care they receive. That is probably the achievement I am most proud of.

Professionally, I have developed a particular focus on diabetes and preventative medicine, including completing a postgraduate qualification through Cardiff University and establishing a dedicated diabetes clinic within our practice. I have also invested heavily in medical education, creating doctor webinars, articles and radio programmes to make evidence-based medicine understandable and accessible to the wider public.

I believe I have also achieved something bigger than an individual practice: building a culture of primary healthcare where people genuinely feel that their doctor knows them and cares about them. During COVID-19, this became particularly important to our community, and I am proud that the standard of care we established then has continued to grow.

Ultimately, I don’t believe professional excellence is only about qualifications or clinical achievements. It is about the lives you touch, the people you help and the trust you build. If my patients’ words are anything to go by, that is what I have achieved—and it would be a privilege to have that recognised by my community.

My vision is to continue building a model of primary healthcare that combines excellent, technology-driven medicine with accessibility, humanity, and with a focus on longevity and prevention. I want to expand our impact by enabling even more doctors and building practices , educating patients, and making good medical knowledge accessible to more people.

Personally, I want to remain curious, keep learning and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I hope my children grow up understanding that success is measured not only by what you achieve, but by what you contribute to others. I intend further postgraduate education in the field of preventative health.

I hope we retain our diversity in South Africa. Our Jewish doctors have made a valuable impact, and my hope is that this country remains inclusive enough that we are able to continue doing so.
